Established in 1982 by Bonnie Bunting and a small group of parents our team has been part of our neighborhood year after year creating a stronger sense of community.  The Reflection Riptides Swim Team is one of the six founding teams of the Herndon Swim League (HSL) currently comprised of nine teams.  More information about the League can be found at https://hsl.swimtopia.com/

As a recreational swim team located in the Reflection Homes/ Lake Homes neighborhood of Herndon, Virginia, our number one goal is to provide our swimmers with just the right amount of friendly competition combined with plenty of team spirit and fun.

Whether just starting out or returning as a Riptide veteran, participating on a recreational swim team is chance to experience the benefits of a life long sport while building memories full of good friends, team work, and sunny summer days at the pool.

We receive support from Reflection Homes Association and Lake Homes Association through their Recreation Committee Inc..  

As volunteer-based team, we do ask that parents are available for assistance at swim meets but with lots of different opportunities to choose from, everyone plays important role and has a great time.

Summer league provides an opportunity for swimmers to: 

• Begin the summer with an active lifestyle 
• Improve their swimming abilities 
• Make new friends and share good times
• Gain self-confidence through healthy competition, perseverance, success and failure.
